Freya is a York-based artist who takes inspiration from the surrounding moors, mountains and coasts. Her semi-abstract paintings and pastels explore these different landscapes but are not portraits of particular places. In her own words, they are “more an attempt to distil a memory of a place, with its light, weather and sounds, thus leaving it open to other interpretations.”
